She has always described her dreams in detail.

And I mean details....

And I mean details. . .

We took a quick trip to Jacksonville, Florida to check out KONA, one of the oldest operating skate parks in the United States.  We were feeling a little adventurous and held off getting reservations until we got into Jacksonville late last Friday night.  We spotted the Hotel Indigo and decided to camp out there knowing we had enjoyed our stay at Hotel Indigo in Atlanta earlier this Spring.  The kids loved the bright and vibrant details and I liked the quaint boutique feel of the place. Once checked in, racing to the room is a must and one of their favorite things to do when traveling…  Something about a new crisp clean room gets us all excited! Mommas with young kiddos know this is so true…

When you are traveling with kiddos and making a point to be budget-conscience, it is always so convenient to stay in a hotel that offers  free continental breakfast. I mean, come on. And, I’ll lay it all out here and tell you that over the years I was never afraid to be one of those mommas that left with a couple of bananas, apples and packets of peanut butter for the days adventure…  But, this trip we traded out the free breakfast for an awesome steak dinner from their kitchen.  So. Good.  I love last-minute adventures and even more…  morning snuggles with my kiddos. Especially my caboose, Josie Cole.

We have traveled to some really neat and quaint places.  From the very beginning, this journey as a family has led us from one adventure to the next.  But it doesn’t compare to the adventure God leads us on everyday.  His leading in our family has made all the difference in our lives and it sweetens these moments even more…

You know, you can find beautiful pictures and beautiful travels and beautiful words in every direction that you choose.  But,  I hope you choose to look a little farther if you will… What really makes these moments?  What really inspires the adventure?  The love?  The difference is in the details.  The Holy Spirit is the difference.  It is what sets us apart from this world.  It is what makes every moment different.  I will treasure these moments with my sweet girl and be reminded of the love the Father has for me…

See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.  1 John 3:1
