DISCERNMENT.
For quite some time I’ve had this burning passion for God’s Word. It wasn’t always there, but there was this point in my life where something changed. I’m grateful. I’ve experienced seasons of ebb and flow in my intent with scripture…
But always, I have known the power of His WORD to transform and to draw one closer to Him… allowing one to know Him more intimately. The Word of God continually refines and we should be grateful.

So, WHY read our Bible?
Well. One, it brings LIFE.
It also gives WISDOM, discernment, restoration, hope and PEACE. It reveals the nature of God and His nature reflects His will.
God’s WORD is living, active, ENOUGH, TRUE and for us today.

I am daily reminded in this FALLEN world that we are LOST without the Word of God, and without discernment from His Truth and the Holy Spirit we are DECEIVED. Without discernment we also fail to see God’s goodness. Discernment is not just for spotting the injustices and evil of this world but also seeing His beauty, Truth and all that is good.

There’s so much I want to say, but it pails in comparison to this simple message I am passionate in sharing…

Open YOUR BIBLE and READ God’s WORD.♡

Friend, “…it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and ALL discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ.”
Philippians 1:9-10

It was spring of last year and she was showing me

It was spring of last year and she was showing me new growth from the seeds she had planted.

We walked through the green houses and talked about plans for the future, looking forward to one day having the time to piddle in the garden together… How we would sow and tend and harvest and in between, sit on the porch dreaming of new ways to creatively share the Gospel. Lol. You know, all the things. Oh! And make it fun with adventures and travel.

Looking back, that’s exactly what we’ve experienced from the beginning of our friendship.

Back story… Alphabetical order seating gave us a connection, our baby brothers kept our circles somewhat connected… but it was later in life, during a foundational season that God connected us on a level that truly was rooted in Him.

One of the best parts of this friendship has been the opportunity to work together in business, providing income for our families and, because of our heart for the Lord, seeing it all as ministry for Him.

For almost ten years now, through ESSENTIAL OILS (can you believe it?!) and now SOCIAL RETAILING (so fun!) we have not only supported our families but had COUNTLESS opportunities to connect with women, helping and encouraging by sharing the HOPE within and the freedom we know.

Literally, we are doing what we dream of doing one day (lol) and I just want to mark this moment, and recognize what God has done, is doing and compelling us to do through Him. (That’s a mouth full, but that’s how He works.)

Sowing.
Tending
Watering.
Creating.
Sharing.
Encouraging.
Seeing His harvest.

My word. What joy that floods my soul.

So friend! I want to encourage you today in being intentional with praying specifically for five things… Five things that have changed my life.
⚡️godly friendships rooted in Him!
⚡️community that will encourage you in your faith.
⚡️wisdom to recognize Truth.
⚡️a heart to be completely rooted in God.
⚡️and, opportunities to sow seeds, water and watch His harvest.

God is good friend. Save this post to look back on as a reminder! And, be intentional in prayer!
