Three Things Happened. . .

Three things happened to me this week that I wanted to share.
1.  I read the book: Heaven Is For Real: A little boy’s astounding story of his trip to Heaven and back. By: Todd Burpo
 2.  God called a sweet friend of mine home. Ralph was a living testimony of God’s grace and love, his impact on my life is something I am so thankful for. I consider myself blessed to have had the opportunity to know and love Ralph Gallups.
3.  I realized how excited I am to go to Heaven!

1 Corinthians 2:9 NIV
However, how it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived” the things God has prepared for those who love Him.

At some point my opinion on death changed. My fear of dying and leaving my loved ones, fear of losing my loved ones and being left alone, was replaced with an overwhelming excitement of what’s to come.

John 14:2 KJ
In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

For me?. . .  There’s not only a place but a mansion prepared just for me! In the most perfect of all places, where there’s nothing but happiness, love, peace and light forever!

Matthew 25:23 NIV
“His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’
Oh to hear those words spoken to me. . .
I know that in the short time I’m here in this world of trials, heart break, scars, disappointment and grief, all I’ve got to do is honor and obey, to tell others about this free ticket to eternity and to keep my eyes toward Him. My reward will be to hear those words spoken directly to me, to walk hand in hand with my Savior down streets made of gold, while being greeted by faces I’ve longed to see again and ones I’ve never seen before. Right up to the very throne of God, where I’ll sing His praises, drinking in His glory forever and ever!
The most awesome part?
It’s there for the taking! God wants to be wanted. He doesn’t expect perfection, thank goodness! It’s so simple. Ask the Lord to save you, ask Jesus to come live in your heart, become a new you through baptism and use that new life of yours to glorify Him. That’s it!  No small print to read, nothing to sign. Your mansion is ready in all it’s amazing beauty right up the road from mine.
The song I’ve been humming all morning, maybe it’ll get stuck in someone elses’  head too. . .
Just a few more weary days and then,
I’ll fly away
To a land where joys will never end,
I’ll fly away
I’ll fly away, oh glory
I’ll fly away, in the morning
When I die, Hallelujah by and by
I’ll fly away
Love y’all!

  • It’s just like Ralph said. “It’s a Win Win Situation!” Either we stay here and have the opportunity to bring more people home with us or we get to go home!

  • That is awesome. I have started the 90 day journey to find out how to become the woman that I want to be. I like to think of it as becoming the woman God wants be to be and I am so excited. The song I’ll Fly Away was my mothers favorite song. She use to hum or just bust out singing it. Just think I will hear he sing it again when I get up to Heaven.
