In order to tell you about Mondays outreach, I have to do a little back tracking. . . Monday before last, I got a call from my dear friend Tajuan checking to see if I would be at outreach. . . “of course” I said. I LOVE Mondays! The devil always tries to mess with me on Mondays and Wednesdays {come to think of it. . . he’s always knocking}. But, it is always worth every effort I make to be there. Last Monday was no exception. . .
For some reason, we have always chosen McDonald’s as our meeting place. . . and as I walked through the doors I saw them. . . my new family and a few new faces. We pretty much have a core group and every now and then we get some new help. But something about the ladies I saw was different. . .
As I got closer, Tajuan was grinning ear to ear . . . she said she wanted us to meet some pretty special folks. As she introduced the three ladies to us and told us there names. . . my body shook with a JOY that filled every part of my body. Honestly, I can’t tell you how blessed and overwhelmed with God’s goodness I was at that very moment. I just had to hug hold them. I didn’t want to let go. These were the ladies of The Wellhouse. There names had always been hush-hush for many reasons. And, I really never even considered getting the opportunity to meet them. Our job dealt more with a different part of The Wellhouse, a part that really didn’t get to see the whole picture, just a part of it. . .
My sweet friend said it best when he described our outreach as “going out and plowing the fields”. Every Monday we meet and go into the battlefield, not ever knowing what we face, what will come of these meetings. But last Monday we SAW the fruit! {I love Pastor Chris}
Last Monday was a fruit day! For all those who have prayed. . . listened. . . supported. . . sacrificed. . .
Last Monday I was blessed to see the fruit of our labor!
Three beautiful women whose lives are completely changed and filled with Jesus LOVE! It was an amazing experience. . . a true blessing. We serve a MIGHTY and LOVEING GOD!
To know how God worked and weaved each of us into each others lives to be here, to be there and to go out and be the hands and feet of Christ. I could go on forever telling you things that have happened that could only have been from the HAND of GOD.
And then this Monday. . .
Through tears of JOY, Lisa shared with us how God is working through the outreach. . . If meeting the girls from the house wasn’t enough, I witnessed 12 people praying for a woman behind a motel room door who did not want to come out and then God busted it open! WOOOHH! {that’s me getting excited!} We were approached by her pimp who tried to keep us away. He was talking Jesus and looking back had most of us fooled. But you know, the devil knows Jesus and he knows The Bible too! I am telling you that the devil did not want us talking to this girl! But we prayed and we prayed and that door OPENED!
A precious lady who could relate shared with this lady God’s amazing and unconditional love. . . Today we were told that at some point after we left, the girl contacted her Dad and gave him the piece of paper that we left with her. She told her Dad that when she woke up she wanted him to call the prayer ladies! PRAISE THE LORD! The Wellhouse, Inc. is now praying and waiting for the call. Oh my word, I just about can’t stand it!!!!!
And it just keeps getting better. . .
So please, I ask you to pray for these people and this ministry. . .
The Wellhouse, Inc. is making a difference. WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE! So, I want to thank each of you who have supported this ministry. Please continue to pray for The Wellhouse, Inc. , Tajuan, The Ladies at the house and The Outreach Team.
Today, I recieved word of another possible rescue. . . She has been calling, but hasn’t given any information. . .
