Warrior for God's Word, Andy's girl + mom to 3 amazing kiddos. I am passionate about sharing my faith and the gospel through everyday moments and adventures of my life. When pride and humility are at war, you risk the d When pride and humility are at war, you risk the deadly mistake of placing value on a facade of dignity and self preservation than on the glory of God.     Pride is so good at concealing the light of Christ while humility and repentance graciously provide the tool to expose the Gospel.     I believe the Gospel is worth dying to self for and I’ve given my life to share it’s message... shine His light.   Because of God’s grace and the transforming power of His Spirit, I’ll continue to run the race. Please hear me... With all that I am, I believe the Gospel is transformational. It’s the only reason I’m here.     So, let me encourage you, myself mainly, to see struggles and conflicts in life as an invitation to experience and show the transforming power of the Gospel... tearing down walls of sin and pride with repentance and humility to expose grace and truth.     I won’t risk His Glory.     Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.   James 4:7

Like she’s ate one for every meal. ✨     My sugar sneaking kid. I knew it would happen one day, but just knew it be when she was 27...   Any other mommas out there who can relate?!

It’s been a while since I shared one of our Sund It’s been a while since I shared one of our Sunday traditions... swipe To see my favorite #elrodssundaybest EVER! Read below to hear a little of the story... ⁣ ⁣ A lot of things look uncertain in our world lately. Andy and I are relentlessly committed to growing in our faith and living it out in front of our children (and one another). Living God’s TRUTH is essential and thankfully, within our family, contagious. ⁣ ⁣ All three of my babies accepted Jesus in the bathtub and now all three have been baptized. I don’t know if there are any tub people out there, but if you’re one... you know it’s the setting for some of the deepest and best conversations. ⁣ ⁣ Sunday was a big day for our family. As these three walked out their public profession and participated in this holy sacrament, I remembered my own moment... I was about Josie’s age and shared the same need to possibly sit on my knees so my church family could see me. I’ll never forget. My Will was the first of my kiddos to make the decision to be baptized and never hesitated at the opportunity. Believing he will grow in his godly leadership well. ⁣ I’ll never forget the night Josie shared through tears of pure joy, her decision and desire to be baptized. I’m telling you that might, it was contagious. A true working of the Spirit. Before the night was over, Andy, who had declared he was letting go of the long standing sketchy declaration he had been baptized in the frog pond (read: sprinkled on the church by the pond) and my Emma Mae knowing this was her time... these two were moved to say “me too” and join alongside our Josie. ⁣ ⁣ Really. There isn’t enough space here or words to share my heart. ⁣ ⁣ God is real. The Holy Spirit is always at work and Jesus is contagious. You should believe it! It’s the best news you’ll hear. 🤍⁣
For the last sixteen years, teaching God’s Word For the last sixteen years, teaching God’s Word to my children has been the priority in my life. Hopefully with time the refining is seen in their eyes... Early on though, the Holy Spirit pressed upon my heart that my actions would be far greater an influence than my words. He continually presses me with this truth... Scripture teaches us that we will be known by the way we love. Taking God’s whole Word as TRUTH means, believing this... Love God. Love others. By this we will be known. I pray my kids always see others through the eyes of Jesus. Always. I pray they see me love others in the same way. Today, I’m asking God to search my whole heart of anything less than love, removing from the root any speck that doesn’t reflect Christ. If we are broken hearted for this world we need to know that changing it begins with humble hearts and broken knees.
