iPhone and ghosts…

Wellness

Right now, I have 3,287 pictures on my iPhone.  Crazy!  And, I know I am not the only one…  go ahead, look at yours.  What are we gonna do with all these photos anyway, really?!

This little nut in the picture above, likes to get a hold of her “Sissy’s” phone…  This was just one screen of the bajillion pictures she took of herself!  Hilarious!  {no wonder I have 2,000 plus pictures on my phone}

I don’t know, kinda out there, but this thought popped in my head and just wanted to share…

Our hearts, our thoughts are full of so much bad stuff {unnecessary stuff}, there isn’t really any room for the good.

It never fails…  There is this great moment and my mom goes to take a picture with her camera, now iPhone, and she hesitates…  “Wait, wait a minute…  let me delete a few…  I don’t have any room.”  {laughing just remembering}

How can we expect to capture, to grasp, to hide the good within, when there really isn’t any room for it.

“Search me, God, and know my heart;
    test me and know my anxious thoughts.
 See if there is any offensive way in me,
    and lead me in the way everlasting.”

This past week, this devotion was shared {thank you} with me from Larry Stockstill…

“What we look at shapes our lives. David said he would not set before his eyes any vile thing. In this world we live in, our minds are bombarded daily with vile and vulgar images. From television, magazines, movies, and even the daily lives of others comes the constant portrayal of the perverse, proud, deceptive, profane, and slanderous.”

“Analyze your environment. Conduct spiritual housecleaning, if necessary, and do not let evil enter your presence (Psalm 101:7). Your mind will clear, temptation will lift, and you will dwell in safety.”

I think this is great… perfect!  You know, there are some really great memories on my little iPhone…   But, I have to scroll and scroll and sometimes over look the ones that are precious.  The ones that speak to me and remind me of the things God has done for me, these are the ones to keep.  The Holy Spirit is our guide…  He is the one that helps us know what we need to keep and what we need to delete.  If we ask, He will help us make room, do a little spiritual cleaning, and help us to make more room for Him.  More room for the really good stuff, the stuff we need…

John 3:30 is on my mind today…    “He must increase, but I must decrease.”

Just a little more ghost talkin’ for you today…  {wink}

Natalie
