RADIANT | Day 13…
Jesus teaches…
“You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor?…
You are the light of the world—like a city on a mountain, glowing in the night for all to see.”
Matthew 5:13-14
Sounds a bit like Christ is telling us and warning us all at the same time. Not only are we being compared to the value and characteristics of salt, but we are also commanded to go and be a light. Light illuminates a darkened path, giving direction and making things more clearly. This is what Christ is asking His disciples to do for Him. To go and be a light for those in the dark. We are to hold ourselves apart so that the light within us can be seen; a light shining can not be hidden. Our light is a necessity to give those in the dark direction and hope.
A better understanding of Christ teaching… be the salt of the earth and the light to the world. Understand the value Christ has placed on each of us for the Kingdom of God! I pray that we will be bold and RADIANT for Christ, being the salt and the light!
To be the salt and the light is our purpose and our mission. now, it is our prayer…
