I want them to be different. Set apart. So unlike the culture that crowds every corner of their life.
Motherhood, biblical motherhood isn’t for the faint of heart. In my almost sixteen years of mothering, I continue to learn that faithful mothering requires faithful sowing. Some days feel like I’m dancing through a beautiful spring day while graciously tossing all the beautiful seed throughout the land. Then there are days that look exhausting from hours of plowing and preparing only to look around and see more land to prepare… But, we mothers, we know. Seen or unseen. We know this gift we hold. This gift of a daughter is an opportunity and responsibility to cultivate in great faith for an eternal harvest.
Faithful mothering will require faithful sowing.
I read it was #nationaldaughtersday and smiled. My girls, what a gift… each and every day they ignite my heart, my attention, my tears, my joy, my prayers, my dreams, and my faith. ♡
Start children off on the way they should go,
Proverbs 22:6
and even when they are old they will not turn from it.
